Chief Minister’s Study Scholarships for Women

The Chief Minister’s Study Scholarships for Women opened for applications on 1 September.

A joint initiative of the Chief Minister though the Office of Women’s Policy and Charles Darwin University, the scholarships are specifically aimed at enhancing employment and life outcomes for women in the Northern Territory.

There are three scholarships awarded each year; one in higher education and two in vocational education and training (VET). The higher education scholarship offers $15,000 over three years full-time or six years part-time study, and the winner also receives a laptop computer to aid in her studies, valued at $1,200.

The VET scholarship is $2,000 for one year full-time or two years part-time study. Payments for both are made in instalments and are subject to academic progress.
