CDU/NTG Partnership Agreement 2008 Annual Report

In 2008, the CDU/NTG Partnership Peak Group members decided there were some valid reasons to change the reporting period from a financial to a calendar year. The 2008 report is now available.

Highlights from the 2008 report include:

  • A productive relationship between CDU and the Department of Planning and Infrastructure
  • The CDU School for Social and Policy Research has worked closely with the Northern Territory Treasury on the projected population growth for the Northern Territory across its regions and with the Department of Education and Training to expand the National Accelerated Literacy Project Program
  • In collaboration with Department of Heath and Families, Menzies has established a Child Protection Program
  • A partnership has been developed between Menzies School of Health Research, the Northern Territory Government Departments of Justice and Health & Families in relation to research on substance abuse

About the partnership

The Partnership Agreement provides for the economic and social development of the Northern Territory to be supported by a robust and resilient University working in partnership with government agencies and the wider community to contribute to education, research, policy development and program delivery.
