Not attending
Returning paperwork
If you are not attending the ceremony, it is important to sign and return paperwork promptly. The name that appears on the invitation is the one that will appear on your testamur, we need to ensure this is correct before the testamurs are produced.
Accurate details
In particular, we also need to ensure your address details are correct as the testamur will be sent to you one week after the ceremony. A significant number of testamurs are returned to sender because address details are incorrect. If you think your testamur may have been sent to the wrong address please contact the Information Centre on 1800 061 963.
Sending testamurs
Those who elect to graduate in absentia will be sent their testamur by registered mail two weeks after the ceremony. Please allow for postal delivery times from this date. Overseas students will be sent their testamur via courier. All students will be sent their testamurs in a special cardboard folder to protect against damage in transit. If you experience significant damage in the post please contact the Information Centre on 1800 061 963 and we can organise a replacement. You will need to return the testamur to us before we can release the replacement copy.
