Commonwealth Learning Scholarships (CLS)
The Commonwealth Learning Scholarships were introduced by the Commonwealth Government in 2004 to assist students with the costs associated with higher education.
The Commonwealth Learning Scholarships (CLS) are to facilitate choice in higher education and to increase higher education participation by students from low socio economic backgrounds, particularly Indigenous students and students from rural and regional areas. The CLS are payable for up to four years and do not affect Centrelink payments students may be receiving.
