Foreword

The IAS Occupational Health and Safety Committee is an Area Committee of the University's Occupational Health and Safety Committee.

The IAS committee is comprised of at lest one person per building, a representative of each of the schools, a post-graduate student, the SHARM Officer of the University, the Chief Technical Officer who chairs the committee. The membership of the present faculty committee is given the appendix A. Both Committees are responsible to the Safety, Health and Risk Management unit of the University.

A detailed Information Manual on current OHS policy has been compiled by the University's SHARM Officer, Mr Neville Garrett. Copies are on the university web page this can be reached by going to the CDU home page and clicking on Organisational Structure when the next page comes up click on Polices, Proceeds and Strategic Plans then on Human Resources and lastly on Occupational Health and Safety the list of policy come up you should read them all, this list of policy are found in Appendix B.
