Opening a Bank Account
The nearest bank branches are located next to and inside Casuarina Shopping Centre. There are branches of the Westpac Bank, Commonwealth Bank, National Australia Bank and the Australian Central Credit Union (ACCU).
Most banks are open from 9.30am to 4.00pm Monday to Thursday and 9.30am to 4.30pm on Friday. The ACCU also opens on Saturday mornings.
To open a bank account, you will need to take your passport and student card. Some banks may require a tax file number. It may take up to an hour to open a bank account so please be patient, especially if you go to the bank during busy times, and avoid going in large groups.
On-campus banking
There is a Rediteller Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) on-campus located in the ground floor of the Commercial Building, next to the Post Office boxes (Red 1), which accepts most bank account cards.
