Keeping in Touch
Don't forget that the Student Facilitator (International Support) is there to assist with virtually anything to do with studying and living in Darwin. Feel free to use the support services available to help you. Also remember to keep the university informed of your current address details so we can keep in touch.
Activities for international students
There are also a wide range of activities throughout the year for all university students, including a sports event, music and dance nights and excursions. For information on the next activity read your international student's newsletter and check your email.
International students newsletter
International students will receive three or four newsletters every semester. These include information about what is happening around the university, coming activities, student visa issues and social events. If you wish to advertise or have something interesting to say, please submit an article or advertisement to one of the administration oficers in the Information Centre.
Information from the newsletters is made available on this website, especially the frequently updated news page.
Using email
A good way to keep in touch with fellow international students, as well as friends at home, is email. Every Charles Darwin University student is entitled to a free student web-based email account.
CDU mailing lists
It is recommended that you join CDU-students mailing list to be kept informed of issues affecting students at the university. CDU-general is good for other general information, e.g. seminars coming up, for sale notices, but it has been known to make a full inbox.
View, subscribe to, and unsubscribe from the university's various email mailing lists.
