Charles Darwin University student card
Once your student fees have been paid for the semester, you are entitled to a Charles Darwin University student card and a student email account (for the semester period). Visit the Information Centre to arrange your student card, bringing along your Enrolment Advice and receipt of fees payment.
Your student card is used for:
- Accessing student computer labs after hours (Level 3, Orange 1)
- Borrowing library books
- Photocopying - your student card can be used as a photocopy card, once you have added money to it. For more details, ask at the Library Information Desk
- Getting student discounts/concessions (bus, cinema, etc.)
If you should lose your student card, visit the Information Centre for lost and found student cards.
Student email and computer lab account
All students are entitled to a free email account and an account to access the Charles Darwin University student computer labs when they have a current student card.
As a new student you must activate your computer/Internet/email account for the first time. To do this visit the StudentNet website, access 'My CDU' and select 'My computer account'.
Your student computer lab account will take approximately 40 minutes to activate. You will need your account to login to computers in the student computer labs (located on Level 3, Orange 1) open from 7:00am to 1:00am, seven days a week.
The format of your student email address will look like this: firstname.lastname@students.cdu.edu.au
To login and use your student email account visit http://labmail.ntu.edu.au/twiggi. Your account can be used from anywhere on the Internet.

If you have any problems with the computers in the student labs or your account contact the Helpdesk. There are dedicated telephones located next to the security doors of the student computer labs in Orange 1 to call the Helpdesk on 6600.
