English for academic purposes
ACL's English for Academic Purposes (EAP) courses are for students who plan to study at university or college in Australia.
During the EAP course students develop a range of academic speaking, listening, reading and writing skills through the use of integrated materials and approaches.

Direct entry
On successful completion of ACL's accredited English for Academic Purposes courses you may gain direct entry to leading Australian universities, including CDU.
General
English
General English is for students who would like to improve their communication skills for working or travelling in Australia. In the General course students develop speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. This course also helps students develop general conversation strategies, pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary.

Orientation
On arrival all students of ACL Darwin English Centre are given an orientation. They will be given a tour of the campus and its facilities. All students will also receive a welcome booklet which will assist them in their everyday life in a new country.
Accommodation
Many ELICOS students choose to stay at North Flinders International House on campus. Off-campus accommodation is also available to international students.
