ELICOS
The university's fully accredited English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS) Centre offers courses in General and Academic English to prepare students for further study.
Tertiary Enabling Program (TEP)
This foundation program aims to provide students, who do not meet the academic entry requirements, with the skills and confidence necessary to undertake university study.
Vocational Education and Training (VET)
VTE courses deliver Vocational Education and Training to enable students to develop marketable, up-to-date employment skills. VET certificate and diploma courses are six months to two-year programs, which provide entry to a variety of professions and may give credit towards a bachelor degree.
Undergraduate courses
Bachelor degrees are usually three or four year programs.
Postgraduate courses by research
Doctorate degrees (PhD) and masters degree by research are conferred on people who have undertaken an original research project resulting in a significant contribution to knowledge or the application of knowledge within a field of study. Though some course work may be required, the granting of the degree is based only on the thesis.
Postgraduate coursework
Graduate diplomas (12 months) and graduate certificates (six months) are attractive to students who already have employment experience. The courses are designed to develop new academic or vocational knowledge and skills.
Coursework masters programs (e.g. Master of Business Administration) usually involve one to two years of study and possibly relevant work experience.
