CDU's Incoming Exchange program offers great opportunities for international students to explore the academic and personal possibilities of studying Australia's Top End. Not only do we have locations in other Australia capital cities, we are part of an international network of universities. The program is available to students currently studying at an overseas university which has an exchange agreement with CDU. Credit for courses successfully completed is normally transferable towards your home university degree.
There are a range of reasons to choose CDU, for example the recent Europe-based accreditation of the university’s engineering programs. Check it out World opens up to CDU engineering graduates.

Exchange Student Testimonial
The number of Charles Darwin University students embarking on international student exchange opportunities is increasing every year. Third-year Bachelor of Creative Arts & Industries (Communications) student Ashley Abbot recently returned from a semester at University Southern Florida in Tampa, USA.
Ashley made the exchange program work for her. She fashioned it into the type of experience she was after and managed to adapt her classes to suit her expectations as well as meet CDU requirements for sufficient credit transfer. Ashley also took full advantage of her situation by embracing the International student networks and formed lasting friendships with others participating in exchange programs at USF.
I had it in mind to go on exchange for a few years. I really wanted to try something new. I had a lot of encouragement and support from my family to travel and seek a study experience that was outside of the Territory. It was a good opportunity to break up my degree, experience studying in another country and travel.
One of the main motivations to go on exchange was to travel. The trips I went on during my exchange and after semester finished were a highlight, I even got to Disney World! I’m really glad I did it; it got me out of my comfort-zone and I got to meet new people from all over the world. I would recommend other students go on exchange.
