Include a cost code when requesting new numbers, conference calls, phone movement or additions - the job will not be passed to the contractor until a cost code is supplied.

Transferring phone calls

For phone types Cisco 7911, 7912, 7940, 7942, 7945, 7946:

Relocation/new phone number

Our Cisco phones are set up so that if you move desks you can take your phone and number with you. Simply unplug your phone taking note of where the two network cords plug into it and plug it in at your new desk. All your settings stay with the phone when you move it. If you do not get a connection when it is plugged in at the new desk, contact the ITMS Service Desk on extension 6600 or email on itms-support@cdu.edu.au as the network point on the wall may not be connected. It is worth noting the number on the network point and providing that to the Service Desk officer.

If you need a new handset or extension number, you will be required to provide a cost code (see your area Finance Officer) and fill out the Telephone and voicemail access form which must be signed by the manager of the area. Such requests are paid for by your school or branch.

Repairs and maintenance

If you are experiencing a problem with your phone line (e.g. no dial tone, bad line quality), contact the Service Desk. Work regarded as maintenance does not require a cost code.

STD/ISD access

If you wish to arrange STD or ISD access for your extension, or have a Group Hunt set up, you will need to apply with the telephone and voicemail access form.
