If you need to do any of the following, then you need a computer account:
- Log in to a CDU computer
- Use a CDU email address
- Access the internet from a CDU campus
- Use the CDU VPN to securely access CDU applications
The creation of computer accounts are largely automated and can be divided into the two main types below.
If you are a CDU employee (or a PHD/Masters Student), you simply need to activate your computer account.
Once your account has been activated, you can request changes to your computer account by using the eCentre application.
If you leave, your computer account will automatically be disabled, and if you return your computer account will be automatically re-created.
Note: After a period of time, accounts are then deleted.
If you are a member of a partner organisation, or a visitor or consultant at CDU, you can get a computer account by:
- Being registered in MPOSTA (eCentre is a web based application available to all CDU staff and partners, and registering is simply providing CDU some personal details. Anyone with eCentre access can register a new person).
- Completing the activate your computer account process through our activation portal.
