Learnline
Learnline is the university's online learning and course management system. It utilises Blackboard, a suite of software products and services used to create and manage online courses. As a Learning Management System it offers students the opportunity to engage in rich learning activities and communicate with staff and other students while studying off campus.
Learnline provides the following useful services:
- 'Anytime, anyplace' access to course materials and assignments
- Interactive learning through a variety of communication tools (email, discussion boards, chat rooms)
- Contact with academic staff and among off-campus and international students through announcements, threaded discussions and email
- Improves general information literacy and resource research strategies
- Enables assignments to be submitted electronically
- Enables quizzes and surveys to be administered and scored with results securely posted online
- Enables announcements to be posted to all students in a unit to facilitate speedy communications
- Enables students to access their web based teaching and learning resources through a consistent, easy to use web portal.
