Law
Studying law at Charles Darwin University means studying at a university with a proud reputation for the quality of its teaching and innovative programs.
The courses will provide you with a solid theoretical and practical legal education and satisfy the academic requirements for admission to professional practice.
While the study of law leads to a career as a solicitor or barrister, it also offers you a multitude of career paths, including politics, the public service, or industrial relations.
Or indeed any career in the public or private sector where an in-depth understanding of the law would be an advantage.
Law courses at Charles Darwin University encourage an appreciation of legal issues of special significance to the Northern Territory, including Aboriginal legal issues and South East Asian law.

Important notice:
It has come to the attention of Charles Darwin University’s School of Law and Business that "spam" emails have been circulating, which give the impression they are from the School.
Apparently they carry email addresses that resemble genuine CDU email addresses.
Among other things these emails claim to offer "degrees and diplomas" that can be obtained in as little as five weeks.
CDU has no connection at all with these emails.
A law degree from CDU takes at least four years for undergraduate students and at least three years for graduates of other disciplines.
Indeed legal profession admission requirements specify a minimum duration of three years for all recognised Australian law degrees, including CDU's Bachelor of Laws degree.
Any person who has doubts or concerns about any email or other communication claiming or appearing to come from CDU’s School of Law and Business should contact the Faculty office on 8946 6830.
