BackgroundJayshree Mamtora has been a librarian for more than 20 years and started her professional career at the University of London. She has since worked in libraries in the Solomon Islands, Samoa and Fiji and served as Campus Librarian at the CDU Palmerston Campus for 5 years before taking on her current position. Jayshree has been an active member of library associations both overseas and in the Northern Territory and is currently the ALIA Local Liaison Officer for the NT. She is a keen traveller and has lived in five countries and visited lots! |

BackgroundA librarian for over 30 years, the last 15 in Australia, Sonia Sumner has worked in academic libraries in England, New Zealand and now Australia. Other experience has been mainly in public libraries but also includes six years living as an alternative lifestyler in the 1980s, two years as a volunteer in Tokelau and one year teaching English in Korea. As well as being passionate about libraries she is also keen on traveling, canalboating in England and camping in Australia. |

BackgroundA librarian since 2000, & living in Darwin on and off since 1968. Before coming to CDU, Peta spent three years at the Northern Territory Tourist Commission managing the online visual library. She has also done contract work in government special libraries. Peta started working at CDU library in 2003 and joined the Liaison Librarian team in 2005. |

BackgroundJessie has worked as a teacher-librarian for 25 years in Tasmania, and has just moved with her husband to begin a new life in the Territory. She has been an active member of the Australian School Library Association, and is highly committed to furthering Information Literacy in all areas of teaching and learning. She has a passionate interest in children’s literature, especially in the field of picture book illustration. She and her family are addicted to travel, India and Morocco being favourite destinations. |

BackgroundKaye has worked for 14 years full time in Academic and Commonwealth government Special libraries in Canberra. Since moving to Darwin 8 years ago, and having small children, Kaye has worked in a part time capacity at the Northern Territory Library and CDU Library. |

BackgroundMarg has a nursing/midwifery background and has spent a year as a library assistant at a Health Library. Marg commenced working casually at the CDU Library Information Desk in August 2006 and has been a Liaison Librarian with CDU since November 2006. She works part time so she can be with her three primary school age children in the afternoons. |

BackgroundStephen Barnett is enjoying the experience of becoming a Territorian. He has had a long career in libraries beginning in the early 1970’s at the State Library of South Australia. He then spent 28 years in TAFE libraries in South Australia which included two years as the Strategic Manager for TAFE Libraries and also a year as the Project Manager for the TAFE National Database Project. Since October of 2004 he has been a member of the Liaison and Information Literacy team with the Library of Charles Darwin University. He has a special interest professionally in information literacy and online learning technologies.
