The Arafura Research Archive at Charles Darwin University collects, preserves and makes available records relating to research in the Northern Territory and region. Topics covered document social, educational, military and political history.

Some of the treasures in the collection relate to bilingual education in remote NT communities, the history of South East Asia, the emotive history of the Territory's short-lived Rights of the Terminally Ill Act (NT Euthanasia Collection) and the evolution of the University itself.

The archives are available to all researchers, not just CDU staff and students. Some items have been digitised and can be viewed in CDU eSpace but these represent only a small fraction of our holdings. Please contact us if you'd like to know more about our collections or if you have items you'd like to donate.
