How to submit an assignment
External Student Support handles many assignments over the course of a year. We ask students to follow some common sense guidelines when submitting assignments. These guidelines are the product of experience and aim to help you ensure your assignments do not get lost or delayed.
There are two ways to submit assignments to External Student Support - either by mail or personal delivery to a drop-box on campus. Please refer to your unit information to check preferred assignment submission by your unit lecturer or marker. Electronic assignment submission via External Student Support is no longer possible for units which have a Learnline site. Please check if your lecturer has either provided submission access for your unit/s via Learnline or alternatively given instructions for other method of electronic submission. Faxed assignments can no longer be sent to External Student Support, due to issues with print legibility and missing pages.
Please ensure that you attach a cover sheet for each assignment and fill in all of the details on the sheet to allow for speedy processing. Assignments without an accompanying cover sheet or those without complete details attached will be date receipted but not logged. You will be contacted by email or telephone advising you to submit an accompanying cover sheet before we can log and forward your assignment to the relevant lecturer. It is in your interest to follow procedures to ensure that your assignment is not delayed. Download a cover sheet (.doc).
Assignment Extension Requests - Please ensure you apply for an extension before the assignment due date.
Resubmitted assignments
If you have been advised by your lecturer to resubmit an assignment please ensure that you use a new cover-sheet and indicate that the assignment is a resubmission to avoid confusion in handling.
