Computers
Computers are available for study and research purposes at Casuarina and Palmerston Campus Libraries for use by CDU staff and CDU students.
The computers are imaged by ITMS and have the same software as those in the computer labs. They operate on the Student Network and require a computer account to be able to log in. Staff will need to apply to ITMS for a temporary student account.
Multimedia computers
There are eight computers at Casuarina Campus Library and one at Palmerston Campus Library that have multimedia software and scanners attached.

Wireless
Casuarina Campus Library is wireless enabled. Staff can assist with connecting your laptop to the network if you have the folowing:.
- An IEEE 802.11 standard wireless enabled device with support for WPA2 authentication, with an in-built wireless adapter or an expansion card such as a PCMCIA card.
- Windows XP Service Pack2 operating system
- up to date Antivirus software

Personal Laptops
Study areas with power for laptop computers are available at:
- Casuarina Campus Library on Level 1 in the Learning Precinct. On Level 3 in the area near the lift, on either side of the MAIN collection adjacent to the study carrels and just before entering the Special Collections Reading Room
- Palmerston Campus Library - laptop lounge area opposite the service desk.
