Recalls

Libraries are set up to share resources available. Libraries that have long loan periods (ie over 2 weeks) usually have a system whereby they can recall items out on loan and pass them on to other borrowers that might urgently require these items.

If another borrower requires an item that you have on loan from the Main Collection, they can place a Request on it. This means that a Recall notice will be sent to you with a new due date. This will be 7 days after the recall is activated.

If the item is not returned by new due date overdue fines of $10 per day will be incurred (see Overdue fines and other charges).

To avoid fines check your borrowers record once a week to see any due date changes for recalls (see How to check your borrower's record).
