Learning Precinct

Casuarina and Palmerston campus libraries have Learning Precincts with access to computers and different study areas eg individual, collaborative and laptop lounge. Both Precincts are wireless enabled.

Assistance and Training

Staff provide assistance for basic use of programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. For more advanced use of applications, staff are able to direct you to reference material or online tutorials.

Assistance is also provided for processes such as printing, burning a CD or scanning images.

Staff can help with accessing Learnline, e-reserve, past exam papers, periodical indexes, databases, internet searching.

For more complex research requirements, you can make an appointment to see one of the liaison librarians via the Service Desk

Tutorials are available online and workshops are run periodically.

Use of computers

Use of computers is limited to CDU students and CDU staff and is strictly for research or study purposes. The onus is on the user to produce evidence that their use constitutes research or is for study purposes.

Computers may only be used for a reasonable time period ie two hours and may not be left unattended for longer than 10 minutes. This is to ensure equity of access and is monitored by Reference and Information Services staff.

Opening hours

The Learning Precincts open during normal Library hours.
