Citation tools
In the course of your research you will need to assess the influence and quality of journal articles and journal titles. Web of Science and Google Scholar enable you to track cited references while Journal Citation Reports allow you to search for the impact factor of journals, that is, they provide a measure of the number of times a journal’s articles are being cited elsewhere. This in turn will reflect on the quality of the journal. These citation tools will help researchers prepare for the RQF which has been set up to measure the quality of research carried out by Australian universities.
