Honorary academics

Access to library services is normally only available to staff and students of Charles Darwin University.

Authorisation
Borrowing privileges may be granted to others affiliated with CDU provided this is authorised by the Dean of the Faculty, Head of School or Head of Department.

Library card
Honorary academics that have a staff card with a barcode on it can use this card. Alternatively, the library will supply a library card for Honorary academics and this can only be used to borrow items. See Lending services for more information.

Access to Databases
Access to databases is via staff login and password and this is managed by ITMS (Information Technology Management Support) more information is here.

Computers
Use of computers in the Learning Precinct is restricted to CDU staff and CDU students. Honorary academic membership does not include access to the computers.

Off Campus and Interlibrary loans
Access does not include Off campus services or Interlibrary loans.

  • Honorary fellows
  • Community fellows
  • Artists or scholars in residence
  • Researchers from Cooperative Research Centres linked to CDU
  • Photo ID
  • Proof of residency, within 80km of Darwin, Palmerston or Alice Springs
  • Official online form authorised by the dean of the faculty stating the length of the contract or visit
  • Valid & current email address
28 November of current year or date of contract if earlier

  • Arafura Timor Research Facility
  • NARU
  • NTGPE - Northern Territory General Practice Education Ltd
  • Photo ID
  • Proof of residency, within 80km of Darwin, Palmerston or Alice Springs
  • Official letter from your stating the length of contract of employment
  • Valid & current email address
