The role of NDCO
The National Disability Coordination Officer program of the Northern Territory will provide high quality information, coordination and referral services to increase and improve transitional pathways for Territorians with disability between community, school, post secondary education, training and employment.
- Develops and fosters high quality services to students with a disability in vocational education and training (VET) and higher education in the Northern Territory
- Assists in the provision of infrastructure support
- Promotes and assists in the coordination of support services to students with a disability
- Supports and assists the post-secondary and tertiary educational environments.

- Regional assistance for students with a disability
- Post-secondary opportunities and options (education, training and employment).
How the NDCO can assist you?
- The NDCO is an information and referral service for post-secondary regional locations in the Northern Territory
- Provides information to prospective students and practitioners about support services available in tertiary education in the Northern Territory
- Assist regional and territory disability networks in monitoring levels of equitable distribution of support services to students
- Promote and improve pathways for students with a disability making the transition into vocational education and training (VET) and tertiary education
- Ensure that support services for students with disabilities allow full participation, meaningful attainment and, where necessary ensure reasonable accommodations.
