The Northern Territory Council for Adult Literacy will today present a free seminar titled Integrating language, literacy and numeracy into the Community Services Training Package (Child Care and Aged Care training)
Presenter Rosa McKenna has recently arrived in Darwin from Melbourne to undertake a project for the Northern Territory Department of Employment, Education and Training.
Ms McKenna brings extensive experience in the adult literacy field and is well known throughout Australia for her contributions to the development of adult literacy policy, literacy and numeracy in training packages, research and evaluation activities, design of literacy and numeracy assessment tools and delivery of professional development seminars.
Ms McKenna will report on an interesting methodology for reflecting on practice and share some insights about what has been learned about ways VET practitioners integrated language, literacy and numeracy in child care and aged care training using the community services training package.
