Cross-Cultural Training

Professional development training in Indigenous cross-cultural awareness is designed to improve the understanding of cultural differences and sensitivities of the university's diverse staff and student body. Staff in all areas of the university whether they are in administration, teaching, research or manual positions will, at some point be required to communicate and work with, members of the Northern Territory’s Indigenous population.

Southeast Asian biodiversity threatened with disaster

Southeast Asia is facing a crisis in biodiversity. Navot Sodhi and colleagues including Charles Darwin University’s Dr Barry Brook, writing in the December issue of Trends in Ecology and Evolution, warn that if the present levels of deforestation continue, Southeast Asia could lose three quarters of its forests and up to 42% of its biodiversity by 2100.
