Masters of the 18 th Century will feature some of the all time composing greats of the period,” said Concert Series Coordinator Rebecca Harris.

“The concert is particularly noteworthy for the wide range of people who will be performing, which underlines Charles Darwin University’s music department as one of the Top End’s most vibrant musical organisations.”

Masters of the 18 th Century will showcase the Charles Darwin Combined Choirs, Chamber Orchestra, Honours soloists and University staff together with leading local music identities Bill Griffiths, Jennifer Martin and Vivienne and Andrew Tooms.

Talented Charles Darwin Honours students Violinist Emily Delves and Flautist Catherine Kinsella will both make their concerto debuts with the Charles Darwin Chamber Orchestra.

“Uniquely, a collaborative conducting effort will also be the order for the evening with Martin Jarvis conducting the two Concertos and Andrew Snell the Mozart,” Ms Harris said.
