Casual positions

Resident Leaders (7 positions)
Resident Leaders are each required to perform one weekly on call shift as the Resident Leader on duty. Weekday shifts commence at 8.00 pm and run to 8.00am the following morning. Weekends from 8pm Friday to 8am Monday are split into 3 longer shifts. During these times, the Resident Leader's primary role is to assist management to establish and maintain an environment within NFIH which is safe, socially cohesive, conducive to academic achievement and supportive of residents' living needs.
In addition, each Resident Leader will have responsibility for chairing and leading one NFIH student committee or club during the semester. This role involves leading a team of residents in coordinating specific activities or events which enhance life at NFIH.
Casual Guest Services Officers (2 positions)
Casual Guest Services Officers are the primary point of contact for current guests at NFIH between 5pm and 8pm on weekdays and for all guests arriving outside regular office hours. Their role is as the front line of communication for guest services as well as supporting the management team with office duties. Appointees will be required to work 2 or 3 shifts per week from 5pm – 8pm weekdays and will then be on call to welcome newly arriving residents from 8pm until 8am. One on call weekend shift will be rostered every second weekend.
