DEST/Charles Darwin University Resource Agreement
This agreement defines terms and conditions for funding from the Department of Employment, Science and Training (DEST). Copies are available from the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Teaching and Learning, or your faculty office.
IME Audit
Each year, an audit of all Vocational Education and Training (VET) training hours funded by DEST is conducted by the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER). Class rolls are used as evidence for this process and hence the maintenance of class rolls is standard practice for all VET units and courses.
National Training Framework (NTF)
The National Training Framework (NTF) is made up of the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) arrangements together with Training Packages. Linked to AQTF arrangements is the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) training.
The national agenda for VET is outlined in the Training Reform Agenda. Information on the Training Reform Agenda and Training Packages can be found at the New National Training System website.
Apprenticeship reporting guidelines
Specific guidelines are in place for reporting to funding bodies about apprentices. Further details are available from the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Teaching and Learning.
New course development/introduction
Specific processes are in place for development of new courses, introduction of new courses and the funding of new courses. Initial advice should be sought from the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Teaching and Learning, prior to proceeding with any new course.
Grading of students in VET
The University policy on grading students is available from all faculty offices.
