Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research & International
Professor Sharon Bell was appointed as Charles Darwin University’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research and International, commencing in April 2011.
Professor Bell holds a PhD in the discipline of Anthropology from the University of Sydney, where she gained the skills and experience as a documentary film-maker. She has since worked in diverse senior positions at universities around Australia, most recently as a Professorial Fellow and Senior Program Developer at the LH Martin Institute of the University of Melbourne.
As Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research and International, Professor Bell intends to strengthen international student participation through existing and new partnerships; and to strengthen the University’s bilateral research links with partner institutions to address community and regional needs.
