Human Research Ethics Committee meetings are held at 2pm on Wenesdays (unless stated otherwise) approximately every 6 weeks (see table above) in the Council Room. Animal Ethics Committee meetings are held at 9am on Wednesdays approximately every 8 weeks (see table above) in the Council Room. Please note that late applications will not be accepted.

How do I apply for ethics clearance?

Visit About Ethics at Charles Darwin University to obtain an Application Pack. Please note applications must be received two weeks before the HREC or AEC meetings and late applications will not be considered. Also, please allow two meetings for your application to be processed, in case the committee requires further clarification or information regarding your application. Fast-tracking of HREC applications may be possible, but must first be approved by the Chair. See CDU Human Ethics Guidelines (.pdf) for conditions limiting the provision of this process. Fast-tracking of AEC applications is no longer possible.
