Supervisor training for Improving Research Supervision and Training (fIRST)

Charles Darwin University subscribes to 'for Improving Research Supervision and Training' or fIRST. fIRST is an on-line resource for supervisors and anyone interested in the development of research supervision.

Within the fIRST site you can access on-line activities such as:

"An Academic Minefield: Identifying potential problems and recommending solutions:

Part 1: Understanding the causes of student-supervisor problems

Part 2: Formulating your own recommendations"; and

"Conceptions of the Literature Review: An online activity for supervisors"

As well as access information on workshops and case studies relevant to supervision.
