Research Interests

Plant-pathogen interactions at the cellular and molecular levels with particular emphasis on plant pathogenic viruses and phytoplasmas.

Principal research areas include:

  • molecular detection, strain differentiation and genomic characterisation of phytoplasmas
  • plant resistance to virus infection
  • insect vector transmission of viruses and phytoplasmas
