About the Commercialisation Training Scheme (CTS)

The CTS is a Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations initiative designed to provide high quality research commercialisation training for the next generation of Australian researchers as a means of equipping them with the skills, knowledge and experience necessary to bring research-based ideas, inventions and innovations to market.

Australian government funding is provided through annual block grants to participating higher education providers (HEPs) who are responsible for identifying and selecting eligible, high quality Australian higher degree by research students. CDU postgraduate research students interested in applying for the CTS should submit an application to the Research Office at CDU.

Benefits of the CTS

The scholarship includes a $5000 stipend as well as course costs and up to $1000 for approved travel. Students will be awarded a Graduate Certificate in Research Management on successful completion.
