Charles Darwin University research funding list

Information about external scholarships is received by the Office of Research & Innovation on a regular basis and is publicised through the Charles Darwin University Research Funding List. CDU staff and research students may subscribe to the research funding list and receive regular updates on funding opportunities.

JASON

Charles Darwin University subscribes to the Joint Academic Scholarships On-line Network (JASON) database. This can help you find current information about funding opportunities through scholarship programs at other universities, charitable foundations, Government and private institutions. JASON and instructions on how to access it are available to all Charles Darwin University students.

Fulbright Northern Territory

A Fulbright Northern Territory Scholarship has been launched in 2010 that will provide funding for NT scholars interested in doing study or research in America. More information on the Fulbright Program is available at www.fulbright.com.au  and at http://www.cdu.edu.au/research/students/scholarships/documents/NT_Fulbright.pdf

The Secretariat for the Fulbright NT scholarship program will be hosted at CDU. The NT Secretary is Ms Maryanne McKaige (8946 6585, maryanne.mckaige@cdu.edu.au).

Information Sessions

The Executive Director of the Australian American Fulbright Commission, Dr Joe Hlubucek, will be in Darwin on 27 April 2010 to conduct information sessions on the Fulbright Program. Session times on 27 April are as follows:

  • 10.00 -11.00 am          CDU Casuarina Campus, Building Blue, Room 5.1.01.
  • 11.30am - 12.15pm     Video link CDU Katherine Rural Campus Administration Meeting Room, Alice Springs Campus Conference Room 15.1.12 and Palmerston Campus Room A2.22

  • Research, and professional (executive) research scholarships and fellowships - funded through AusAID and DEST

These schemes are for Australians to travel overseas and for overseas researchers and students to spend time in Australia including AusAID development scholarships, Australian Leadership Awards and Expanded Endeavour Program.
