Life at CDU

Interstate students

If you’re thinking about making the move to the NT for study, keep some of the following pros in mind.

Live the NT life

The Northern Territory is the envy of the rest of Australia for its relaxed, easygoing, outdoors lifestyle.

Expect lots of sunshine, BBQs, great food from our multicultural population, loads of sports, great fishing, markets (including our famous Mindil Beach Markets), amazing sunsets and spectacular wet season storms. Not to mention friendly people, an active pub and club scene, and great weekend escapes to Kakadu or Litchfield National Park, Katherine Gorge, or the many waterfalls, rock holes, parks and small towns in the region.

Enjoy personalised approach to education

CDU is distinctive in its ability to offer smaller class sizes and a low student-to-teacher ratio – about one teacher to every 15-20 students. This means you get more personalised attention to your education and learning.

Take advantage of competitive course fees

CDU course fees are very competitive, even though, for example, our Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Science degrees are ranked among the top six in Australia out of 39 universities (source: 2006 Good Universities Guide). We were also ranked best in Australia, with one other university, for degrees in accounting, humanities and social sciences and our Bachelor of Business students all found a job within three to six months of graduating (source: 2006 Good Universities Guide).
