2009 marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Darwin, one of the world’s greatest thinkers.
Charles Darwin University, in partnership with the Northern Territory Government and the City of Darwin, is participating in the bicentenary celebrations of Charles Darwin’s life and legacy with a year long calendar of events, including the Acquisitive Sculpture Award and Exhibition on the University’s Casuarina campus.
The inaugural Acquisitive Sculpture Award and Exhibition will commemorate the life and work of Charles Darwin in some way. It will also form the basis of a biennial acquisitive award which will create a permanent Sculpture Park at the University and provide a significant cultural resource to the community... find out more about the award and exhibition
There will be one award, the CDU acquisitive prize valued at $20 000.
