Research interests

Lubomir’s major research interests are in population ecology of invertebrates and biodiversity monitoring, and is particularly interested in changes of distributional patterns of natural populations in response to disturbances. He is originally trained as medical entomologist and is looking to better understanding of changes in mosquito density and species composition in response to seasonal fluctuations of rainfalls and tides. In addition, he is looking to test the effects of large landscape changes (engineering works designed to destroy mosquito habitats) to overall mosquito population.
