Biography

Sue Emmett has been extensively involved in early childhood education and the translation of research into the practical environment for over twenty five years. Sue’s professional experience includes early childhood teaching; leadership within early childhood services; tertiary lecturing in the VET and higher education sectors; and work as a consultant and researcher.

 

Sue's academic achievements have seen her study learning theory and application at Graduate Certificate, Masters and PhD level. Currently, she is researching the ways in which the young child’s emotional, psychological and social development can be enhanced through the implementation of attachment theory in the early childhood educational curriculum.

With the School for Social and Policy Research, she is a project member for the National Accredited Literacy Program’s evaluation and improvement phase as well as the research team for the interactive literacy program, ABRACADABRA. Sue has also published educational texts and is an active member of many professional associations.
