New students

Admissions offer and acceptance

You are a new student if you are commencing an undergraduate course or postgraduate course by coursework. Your journey into CDU begins when you receive an offer letter from the South Australian Tertiary Admission Centre (SATAC). Once you have received an offer of a place from SATAC, you should accept the offer with SATAC. You will receive an enrolment package from the University which includes your Student Identification Number (student ID). This number is necessary for you to log into CDU's My Student Info and enrol online. This number must be quoted on all correspondence with the University. You will receive an Orientation Week flier, a school flier, a common units flier and a privacy brochure.

Continuing students

You are a continuing student if you are returning to study in the same course as the previous semester, or are returning from an official leave of absence. Students who do not advise the University of their intention to return to their course of study by the relevant census dates, are considered withdrawn from the course. For example, if you do not enrol for 2008 and do not submit a form seeking a formal leave of absence, your activity in the course will be lapsed before the next admission period, e.g. around the end of September each year. All lapsed students will be required to re-apply for admission through SATAC at the next available admission period.

International students

You are an international student if you are not an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or a New Zealand citizen. As an international student, you may be a new student or a continuing student. An international student is one who may have been issued a student visa granting permission to study. International students meet the entire cost of their studies through tuition fees.

You are now ready to enrol in your course in 2008 at CDU. The process of enrolment varies depending on whether you are a new student, continuing student, or an international student.
