Student Services and Amenities Fee
Update on the fee: The Federal Government has recently passed legislation that enables universities to introduce a Student Services and Amenities Fee.
This legislation allows Universities to charge students a fee up to a maximum of $263 per year from 2012 and indexed on an annual basis.
The proceeds from the Fee can only be used by universities to support student amenities, advocacy, representation, and similar activities. Please note that CDU will be charging the Fee to students from 1 January 2012.
The timetable for next year is now online.
The NT State 7 Constitutional Convention, to be held 21-21 April 2012 is fast approaching.
This Constitutional Convention will be a world first as all delegates to the Convention will be elected by Territorians.
It will be a genuine people’s convention where local people will draft a constitution for a new state.
Over the next few weeks members of the NT Constitutional Convention Committee will be informing Territorians of opportunities to participate in the Convention.
A remote communities program is already in progress and the attachment provides details of Information Sessions in major urban centres in the Territory.
Be involved and participate in the future of the Territory. See you at one of the sessions. Information about dates, times and venues is attached and for more information go to www.ntstate7.com.au
