The Taste of Uni program is an initiative of the Dean of Indigenous Research and Education, Professor MaryAnn Bin-Sallik, and started in 2004. The Taste of Uni involves the collaboration of all sectors of Charles Darwin University as well as professionals representing Indigenous employment peak sectors.

The Taste of Uni is designed to encourage lively and informative activities relating to university courses, which will facilitate the pathway to a professional career for Indigenous students.

Through the Taste of Uni, the University seeks to help Indigenous students to start thinking of their career options through courses taught at Charles Darwin University, and to give Indigenous students the support they need.

The Dean of Indigenous Research and Education and CDU staff invite all Indigenous secondary students from throughout the Northern Territory to join the first Taste of Uni for 2008.
