About us
The TLDG mission is to enhance the quality of learning and teaching at Charles Darwin University. The Group promotes and supports the development of educational practices that provide high quality, diverse learning experiences for all students. TLDG is committed to assisting the University position itself for the future. The Group provides both pedagogical and technical support, contributing to the achievement of the University’s strategic Teaching and Learning goals by:
- providing evidence-based advice and support to senior management and contributing to strategic policy development and planning
- collaboratively initiating and supporting learning and teaching initiatives of faculties and divisions
- providing support and advice to faculties and divisions for the design and development of high quality, inclusive educational practices, curricula and resources
- investigating, articulating and disseminating teaching, learning and education development scholarship
- the production of quality flexible learning resources and environments, including websites and Learnline sites
- investigating, piloting and deploying online technology, tools and learning resources to enhance flexible learning
- the maintenance, support and upgrading of the online learning environment
- providing a non-accredited, professional teaching development program which addresses post secondary education issues
- developing and coordinating the University’s teaching and learning awards and grants, and assisting staff with the development of their applications
- creating and facilitating communities of learning
- enhancing the reputation of CDU teaching and learning nationally /internationally.
