Web & Multimedia (WAMM)
WAMM works with education developers and teaching staff to develop innovative, student-centred, multimedia learning environments. In each of the last three years WAMM has developed national award-winning websites.
WAMM provides the following services to CDU teaching staff, course renewal and student experience projects:
- Design, development and maintenance of dynamic (database backend) effective learner centred, educationally rich and engaging online learning environments (unit and course-based)
- Design, development and maintenance of static online learning environments and information portals (unit based and portal-based)
- Graphic design, animation, flash interactives and screen based design for visual communication
- Recording and editing of audio and video
- Provision of podcasting and streaming
- Setup of blogs, wikis and discussion boards
- Provision of support and advice in the use of appropriate technologies and standards to support learning outcomes
- Provision and management of Web spaces for teaching and learning materials
- Provision of Web server access and streaming server access to teaching staff
- Project management; overseeing stages of Web and multimedia development, coordinating communication, setting deadlines and monitoring progress
