Promoting Excellence Initiative
The Promoting Excellence Initiative (PEI) is a
three-year project that has been funded by the Australian Learning and Teaching Council
(ALTC) to help facilitate the development of institutional strategies
that support staff in making high-quality submissions to the ALTC's
grants scheme, awards, fellowship scheme and other initiatives.
Specific activities undertaken as part of this project include:
- supporting CDU staff in applying
for awards
that recognise outstanding contributions to teaching and
learning
- supporting CDU staff in applying for grants to improve teaching and learning practice
- supporting CDU staff in applying for fellowships that promote
excellence in teaching and learning
- coordinating the University’s Student Experience Project which was designed to support initiatives that address the changing needs of CDU's student cohort
- developing an internal teaching and learning mailing list
- promoting the scholarship of teaching and learning
- facilitating a more strategic approach to the development and use of teaching portfolios
- disseminating information about ALTC initiatives and activities.
