Libraries and PC Labs

Photocopying is accessed via a card swipe key pad attached to the side of all photocopying machines. The machine is only enabled once a student swipes their ID card along with a valid Personal Identification Number (PIN). The user account balances will then appear in the LED screen, select the appropriate account by using the red up and down arrows. As photocopies are made the programmed price will be debited from that value.

Printing via print release station is accessed by submitting a file to the print queue as normal. The student then proceeds to any of the Print Release Stations (PRS) and will need to login using their network ID. This will then open up account details and a list of files/jobs waiting to be printed. User simply selects the file and hits the print button and then will be asked to select their preferred account to debit. Print job will then be released to printing machine; the system will automatically deduct the value from account.

Printing via pop up screen: Pop-up printing will be available in the smaller labs where there are no PRS. User must have a network ID in order to log on to and access this function. At the lab PC when the user selects 'print' a pop-up window appears informing how much printing will cost, the user then selects the account they wish to allocate costs to and clicks OK.
