A standard signage system
To ensure that the campus is easy to orientate around for both those that are familiar with the campus and those that are not, CDU has implemented a new standard signage system. This new system will guarantee that there is consistent signage across campus so that navigation is simple and understandable. This entails new methods of building, traffic, pedestrian and landscape facilities identification and direction across the site, uniting them within one readily comprehensible system.
Colour-coding and simplicity are the essential ingredients in the signage system. Implementation is based on:
- Precinct colours
- Building names and building ID signage
- Pedestrian map directory signs
- Vehicle map directory signs
- Pedestrian direction signs
- Car park names and signage
