The 7th Annual Symposium on Indigenous Music and Dance will be convened at Charles Darwin University on 16-17 August 2008. In addition to presentations on research associated with the National Recording Project for Indigenous Performance in Australia, the Symposium will feature sessions on the theme of Indigenous Performance and Health. Presentations at this Symposium will once again set a new benchmark in communicating the breadth and immediacy of current approaches to recording and researching Indigenous music and dance within the broad aims of the National Recording Project.
