Who is Barney Glover?
Professor Barney Glover commenced as Vice-Chancellor of Charles Darwin University (CDU) in 2009, following the term of Inaugural Vice-Chancellor, Professor Helen Garnett.
Barney Glover has been credited with guiding the university to a new level of maturity by working in co-operation with industry, government and other universities.
His achievements include:
- the development of the North Australian Centre for Oil and Gas
- the establishment of the NT Medical Program in conjunction with Flinders University
- growing student numbers
- a $250 million infrastructure refresh, and consistently high placing in world rankings of university quality.
Barney Glover hopes his legacy will include a strong connection between the University and the community.
