Eva Lawler
Who is Eva Lawler?
Eva Lawler is a former student of Darwin Community College (DCC), Darwin Institute of Technology (DIT), Northern Territory University (NTU) and Charles Darwin University (CDU).
Eva Lawler knows firsthand about education in the Northern Territory. She was a student at Darwin Community College after Cyclone Tracy, where she completed a Diploma of Education and went on to do further studies at DIT, NTU and CDU. She has been a teacher and a principal in the NT for over 30 years and has worked more recently in senior roles within the Northern Territory Government in the education portfolio.
She believes strongly in the benefits of a "home grown" work force of Territorians being educated in the NT and using their education, skills and experience to benefit the NT.
Eva Lawler describes herself as being "forever grateful" to have had the opportunity to stay and get a tertiary education in the NT.
